मातापितृदोषाभ्यां क्वचिन्निरुद्धं दशाफलं ज्ञेयम्। तस्माद्योगान् सम्यक् परीक्ष्य पश्चाद्दशाफलं चिन्त्यम्॥२१॥
On account of the sins committed by the two parents—the mother and the father—there may be a break in the happening of the effects in certain cases. It is therefore imperative that the Yogas should be first examined carefully before any attempt is made to predict the effects of a Dasa.
english translation
mAtApitRdoSAbhyAM kvacinniruddhaM dazAphalaM jJeyam। tasmAdyogAn samyak parIkSya pazcAddazAphalaM cintyam॥21॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयस्यादौ भानुदशा मातापितृदोषदा सपक्षघ्नी। लग्रदशा क्लेशकरी चन्द्रदशा ज्ञानविघ्नकरी॥२२॥
If at a birth the Sun's Dasa should begin first and if the Sun be not favourable to the mother as well as the father, it will bring on paralysis to the child. If the Lagna Dasa should happen first, it will cause If it be the Moon's Dasa, it will retard the acquisition of knowledge and learning.

yasyAdau bhAnudazA mAtApitRdoSadA sapakSaghnI। lagradazA klezakarI candradazA jJAnavighnakarI॥22॥
