मकरे भानुदशायां परकार्यरतो न याति धनपुत्रौ। स्त्रीदोषजनितदुःखी पाण्ड्वामयपीडिऽतोऽङ्गहीनो वा॥१६॥
When the Sun is in Makara, and his Dasa is ripening, the native will interest himself in other people's affairs; he will not command money; his children will forsake him; he will suffer misery through the faults caused through his wife; and he will be troubled through jaundice or from loss of a limb.

When the Sun is in Kumbha and his Dasa is ripening the native will suffer from heart-disease, he will lose children, become a slanderer; he will eat at other people's table; and will be hated by his wife and other relations.

During the Sun's Dasa and when the Sun occupies sign Meena, the person concerned will become happy, command respect and wealth, all through his partner's love. He will suffer from remittent fever and will be thinking about his children; and will be like a king.

During the advent of the Sun's Dasa and when the Sun is posited in the 8th house, the effects will, in spite of the Sun holding an exalted position, prove malefic. If the Sun be in the 6th house at the time, the person will suffer from ulcer; he will not get any benefit from either of his parents.

aSTamasaMsthasya dazA bhAnorucce'pi doSavRddhikarI। SaSThadazA vraNapIDAM kurute pitRmAtRdoSavRddhikarI॥19॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुरुषप्रथमदशायां फलं तु वाच्यं शुभाशुभं वाऽपि। सद्यो मरणं योगै रुणद्धि स दशाफलं न चायाति॥२०॥
During the first Dasa in the case of a male, the effects whether good or bad should be predicted. Should there be his exit from the world immediately, the effects of the Dasa will not happen.
