प्रसवं दारसौभाग्यं सप्तमस्थानतो विदुः। आधिव्याधि मृतीर्नाशमष्टमं परिचक्षते॥ १२॥
- progeny, marital gains from 7th and, diseases, death and destruction, are to be declared from the 8th.

भाग्यस्थानं गुरुस्थानं धर्मस्थानं ततः परम्। कर्माजीवस्तु दशमो प्रतापः पौरुषं श्रुतिः॥ १३॥
The 9th house is called Bhagyasthana (luck). Guru Sthana (elders and preceptors) and Dharmasthana (Virtues). The tenth Bhava speaks of one’s profession, living, courage, prowess -

कीर्तिश्च ज्ञायते तत्र दृष्टादृष्टनिरूपणम्। ऐश्वर्यमर्थलाभं च विदुरेकादशाद्गृहात्॥ १४॥
- learning and fame (seen and heard). One’s wealth, monetary gains etc. should be known from the eleventh Bhava.

द्वादशं तु व्ययस्थानं पापस्थानं प्रचक्षते। एवं द्वादश भावेषु चिन्तयेन्मतिमान्नरः॥ १५॥
The twelfth Bhava is known, as the Bhava of expenses and sins. This is how a wise Jyotishi should assess the twelve Bhavas.
