तुङ्गाद्भ्रष्ठस्य दशा सर्वारम्भेषु निष्फलं कुरुते। होराधिपारिभवने भ्रष्ठदशा मृत्युमावहति॥२१॥
The Dasa of a planet fallen from his exaltation makes all enterprises begun under it fruitless. The Dasa of the planet owning the 6th (or the 8th) house reckoned from the lord of Lagna will indicate death if the said planet has fallen from exaltation.

षष्ठाष्टमस्थोऽशुभदस्तु रौद्रो द्विषा शुभस्थानगतेन दृष्टः। स्वस्यां दशायां स करोति मृत्युं व्याध्यध्वतापादिपरिक्षयं वा॥२२॥
When an inauspicious planet occupies the 6th or the 8th house, or is aspected by an inimical planet posited in a benefic house he will bring about in his Dasa period the demise of the native through disease, or weariness in travelling, etc.

व्योमाम्बुवाय्वग्निमहीस्वभावा जीवासुरेड्याकिंमहीजसौम्याः। छाया मरुत्पित्तकफानुरूपां मिश्रैस्तु मिश्रा बलिभिर्नृपस्य॥२३॥
Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, Mars and Mercury during their Dasas exhibit their respective characteristics due to the elements Ether, Water, Air Fire and Earth respectively through wind, bile and phlegm. If the planets be of a mixed nature (so far as their position in the horoscope is concerned), the effects also will be mixed.

छाया शुभा शुभफलानि निवेदयन्ती लक्ष्या मनुष्यपशुपक्षिषु लक्षणज्ञैः। तेजोगुणान् बहिरपि प्रविकासयन्ती दीपप्रभास्फटिकरत्नघटस्थितेव॥२४॥
The bodily lustre (complexion) which indicates both good and bad effects and reveals the virtues of the heart, as does the flame of a lamp kept inside a crystal pot, the qualities of brilliance, may be observed by those well-versed in the science, in men, animals and birds.

स्निग्धद्विजत्वङ्नखरोमकेशाच्छाया सुगन्धा च महीसमुत्था। तुष्ट्यर्थलाभाभ्युदयोन् करोति धर्मस्य चाहन्यहनि प्रवृत्तिम्॥२५॥
The lustre born of the element Earth, makes the teeth, skin, nails and hair on the body and head glossy, produces fine smell, bestows contentment, wealth, gain and rise in status, and causes engagement in religious and meritorious acts always.
