जामित्रमस्तभवनं द्यूनं कामश्च चित्तसंज्ञं च। दुश्चिक्य सहजविक्रमतृतीयकं तुल्यनाम स्यात्॥३१॥
Other names for the 7th house are Jamitra, Astabhavana, Dyuna, Kama and Chitta, and those for the 3rd are Duschikya, Sahaja and Vikrama (valour).

आस्पदमाज्ञा दशमं कर्म च मेषूरणं खमध्यस्थम्। हिबुकं सुखं च वेश्म च पातालं वारि बन्धुतुल्याख्यम्॥३२॥
The synonyms of the 10th house are Aspada (place), Ajna (command), Karma (profession or work), Meshurana and Khamadhyasttha (situated in the zenith of the sky) or Kha and Madhyasttha. The 4th house is otherwise called Hibuka. Sukha (happiness), Vesma (home), Patala (nether world), Vari (water) and Bandhu (relative).

The 5th and 9th houses are known as Trikona ; the 9th alone is called Tritrikona; it is also termed Bhagya (fortune), Guru (father) and Subha (auspicious).

The 12th house is otherwise known as Rippha, Lopastthana (house of disappearance), and Vyaya (loss). The 2nd house is called Vitta (wealth), Kutumba bhavana (house of family), Vakstthana (house of speech) and Mangala (auspiciousness).

The 8th house is known by the names of Randhra (hole), Nidhana (death), Vinasa (destruction) and Duhkha (misery). The terms Riksha, Bhavana (house), Kshetra, Hora or Rasi, all mean the same thing.
