मिताहारं विना यस्तु योगारम्भं तु कारयेत् । नानारोगो भवेत्तस्य किञ्चिद्योगो न सिध्यति ॥५-१६॥
A devotee who starts practicing yoga without following the strict diet. He suffers from many types of diseases and also does not get even the slightest success in Yoga.

जो साधक बिना मिताहार का पालन किये ही योगाभ्यास को शुरू कर देता है । उसे अनेक प्रकार के रोग हो जाते हैं साथ ही उसे योग में नाममात्र सिद्धि भी नहीं मिलती ।
