क्षयकासं गुदावर्त्तं प्लीहाजीर्णज्वरं तथा । नाशयेत्सर्वरोगांश्च महामुद्रा च साधनात् ॥३-८॥

महामुद्रा के अभ्यास से साधक के क्षय व कासं रोग अर्थात् श्वास व बलगम सम्बन्धी रोग जैसे दमा व खाँसी आदि, गुदाद्वार के फोड़े या बवासीर व भगन्दर आदि रोग, प्लीहा ( मूत्र मार्ग से धातुओं का बहना ), पुराना बुखार आदि सभी रोग नष्ट हो जाते हैं ।
