यावत्सा निद्रिता देहे तावज्जीवः पशुर्यथा । ज्ञानं न जायते तावत्कोटियोगं समभ्यसेत् ॥३-६२॥
As long as the Kundalini Shakti remains dormant in the body, the seeker keeps roaming like an animal without knowledge. Even if he practices innumerable yoga practices, he still does not attain knowledge.

जब तक शरीर में कुण्डलिनी शक्ति सोई हुई रहती है तब तक साधक पशु की भाँति बिना ज्ञान के ही घूमता रहता है । चाहे वह असंख्य योग साधनाओं का अभ्यास करले, लेकिन फिर भी उसे ज्ञान की प्राप्ति नहीं होती है ।
