Just as due to the continuous rotation of the Ghatiyantra, its containers (which contain water) keep rotating from top to bottom. In the same way, man also keeps going through the cycles of birth and death due to his deeds (good and bad or Krishna and Shukla deeds).

जिस तरह घटियन्त्र के लगातार घूमने के कारण उसके पात्र ( जिनमें पानी आता है ) ऊपर से नीचे की ओर घूमते रहते हैं । ठीक उसी तरह मनुष्य भी अपने कर्मों ( अच्छे व बुरे अथवा कृष्ण व शुक्ल कर्म ) के कारण जन्म व मृत्यु के चक्कर लगाता रहता है ।
