प्राक्तस्यएवऽसन्ने दुःखौत्पत्तिः स्त्रिया विनाशश्च । भयं ऊर्ध्वं रजकानां विज्ञेयं काच्छिकानां च ॥ ८७-४१ ॥
If the omen be the cry of a creature in the next (30th) malefic quarter, there will be grief and the death of women; if in the 31st malefic quarter, washermen and persons dwelling on the banks of rivers will suffer miseries.
english translation
prAktasyaeva'sanne duHkhautpattiH striyA vinAzazca । bhayaM UrdhvaM rajakAnAM vijJeyaM kAcchikAnAM ca ॥ 87-41 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहस्त्यारोहभयं स्याद्द्विरदविनाशश्च मण्डलसमाप्तौ । अभ्यन्तरे तु दीप्ते पत्नीमरणं ध्रुवं पूर्वे ॥ ८७-४२ ॥
If the omen be the cry of a creature in the last (32nd) malefic quarter, elephant-drivers will suffer miseries as well as elephants. Again, if the omen occur in the eastern malefic spoke (within the circle), a person will lose his wife.
english translation
hastyArohabhayaM syAddviradavinAzazca maNDalasamAptau । abhyantare tu dIpte patnImaraNaM dhruvaM pUrve ॥ 87-42 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशस्त्रानलप्रकोपऽग्नेये वाजिमरणशिल्पिभयम् । याम्ये धर्म विनाशो अपरे अग्न्यवस्कन्दचोक्षवधाः ॥ ८७-४३ ॥
If the omen occur in the south-eastern malefic spoke, there will be fight and injury from fire and the death of horses, and sculptors will suffer. If it occur in the southern malefic spoke, there will be destruction of works, of chanty, and if in the southwestern malefic spoke, there will be fear of injury from fire and parties of men will be killed.
english translation
zastrAnalaprakopa'gneye vAjimaraNazilpibhayam । yAmye dharma vinAzo apare agnyavaskandacokSavadhAH ॥ 87-43 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअपरे तु कर्मिणां भयं अथ कोणे चानिले खरौष्ट्रवधः । अत्रएव मनुष्याणां विसूचिका विषभयं भवति ॥ ८७-४४ ॥
If the omen be the cry of a creature in the western malefic spoke, servants will suffer; if in the north-western malefic spoke, asses and camels will be killed and mankind will suffer from cholera and poison.
english translation
apare tu karmiNAM bhayaM atha koNe cAnile kharauSTravadhaH । atraeva manuSyANAM visUcikA viSabhayaM bhavati ॥ 87-44 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउदगर्थविप्रपीडा दिश्यैशान्यां तु चित्तसन्तापः । ग्रामीणगोपपीडा च तत्र नाभ्यां तथाआत्मवधः ॥ ८७-४५ ॥
If the omen occur in the northern malefic spoke, there will be destruction of wealth; and if in the north-eastern malefic spoke, the creatures of the village and shepherds will suffer, and if it occur in the malefic centre, the person himself will suffer troubles.
