गतानि वर्षाणि शकेन्द्रकालाद् धतानि रुद्रैर्गुणयेच्चतुर्भिः । नवाष्टपञ्चाष्ट(८५८९)युतानि कृत्वा विभाजयेच्शून्यशरागरामैः(३७५०) ॥ ८-२० ॥

Multiply by 11 the number of past solar years from the time of the Śaka prince (Śālivahāna), and take 4 times the product; to it add 8589 and divide the sum by 3750.

gatAni varSANi zakendrakAlAd dhatAni rudrairguNayeccaturbhiH । navASTapaJcASTa(8589)yutAni kRtvA vibhAjayeczUnyazarAgarAmaiH(3750) ॥ 8-20 ॥
