कनिष्ठिका वा तदनन्तरा वा महीं न यस्याः श्पृशति स्त्रियाः स्यात् । गताअथ वाअङ्गुष्ठं अतीत्य यस्याः प्रदेशिनी सा कुलटा अतिपापा ॥ ७०-१६ ॥
If either the little toe or the one next to it do not touch the ground, or if the toe next to the big toe be longer than the big toe, the woman will become unchaste and will commit deeds of wickedness.
english translation
kaniSThikA vA tadanantarA vA mahIM na yasyAH zpRzati striyAH syAt । gatAatha vAaGguSThaM atItya yasyAH pradezinI sA kulaTA atipApA ॥ 70-16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउद्बद्धाभ्यां पिण्डिकाभ्यां शिराले शुष्के जङ्घे लोमशे चातिमांसे वामऽवर्तं निम्नं अल्पं च गुह्यं कुम्भऽकारं चौदरं दुःखितानाम् ॥ ७०-१७ ॥
If the calves of the leg be found to grow larger as they approach the knees, or if the shanks be covered with muscles, without flesh or with too much flesh or covered with hair, if the genital organ be sunk, small, with the hair growing from right to left, if the belly be like a pot, she will suffer grief.
english translation
udbaddhAbhyAM piNDikAbhyAM zirAle zuSke jaGghe lomaze cAtimAMse vAma'vartaM nimnaM alpaM ca guhyaM kumbha'kAraM caudaraM duHkhitAnAm ॥ 70-17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptह्रस्वयाअतिनिःस्वता दीर्घया कुलक्षयः । ग्रीवया पृथुउत्थया योषितः प्रचण्डता ॥ ७०-१८ ॥
If the neck be short, the woman will be poor; if very long, her family will perish; and if large she will be of angry temper.
english translation
hrasvayAatiniHsvatA dIrghayA kulakSayaH । grIvayA pRthuutthayA yoSitaH pracaNDatA ॥ 70-18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनेत्रे यस्याः केकरे पिङ्गले वा सा दुःशीला श्यावलोलईक्षणा च । कूपौ यस्या गण्डयोश्च स्मितेषु नि:सन्दिग्धं बन्धकीं तां वदन्ति ॥ ७०-१९ ॥
If the eyes be wild and disturbed and of yellow colour, or if they be brown and of wandering look, or if dimples appear in the cheeks while laughing, the woman will become unchaste.
english translation
netre yasyAH kekare piGgale vA sA duHzIlA zyAvalolaIkSaNA ca । kUpau yasyA gaNDayozca smiteSu ni:sandigdhaM bandhakIM tAM vadanti ॥ 70-19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रविलम्बिनि देवरं ललाटे श्वशुरं हन्त्युदरे स्फिजोः पतिं च । अतिरोमचयान्वितौत्तरओष्ठी न शुभा भर्तुरतीव या च दीर्घा ॥ ७०-२० ॥
If the forehead be low, the brother of the woman’s husband will die; if the belly be found to hang, her father-in-law will die; If the buttocks be found to hang, her husband will die; if the upper lip be covered with hair or if the woman be taller than her husband, she will suffer miseries.
