क्रौञ्चकाञ्चीकलापाश्च कलहंसकलस्वराः । नद्यस्तोयांशुका यत्र शफरीकृतमेखलाः ॥ ५६-०६ ॥
There were crows and golden chirping and the sounds of quarreling and swans. The rivers are covered with water and their belts are made of saffron.

krauJcakAJcIkalApAzca kalahaMsakalasvarAH । nadyastoyAMzukA yatra zapharIkRtamekhalAH ॥ 56-06 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptफुल्लतीरद्रुमौत्तंसाः सङ्गमश्रोणिमण्डलाः । पुलिनाभ्युन्नतौरस्या हंसवासाश् च निम्नगाः ॥ ५६-०७ ॥
The trees on the banks of the river blossomed and the hips of the mountains met The banks of the river were raised by swans and the rivers were low.
english translation
phullatIradrumauttaMsAH saGgamazroNimaNDalAH । pulinAbhyunnataurasyA haMsavAsAz ca nimnagAH ॥ 56-07 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवनौपान्तनदीशैलनिर्झरौपान्तभूमिषु । रमन्ते देवता नित्यं पुरेषुउद्यानवत्सु च ॥ ५६-०८ ॥
They rejoice always in gardens, streams, hills, places through which pass mountain currents and in the canals of flower gardens.
english translation
vanaupAntanadIzailanirjharaupAntabhUmiSu । ramante devatA nityaM pureSuudyAnavatsu ca ॥ 56-08 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभूमयो ब्राह्मणादीनां याः प्रोक्ता वास्तुकर्मणि । ता एव तेषां शस्यन्ते देवताआयतनेष्वपि ॥ ५६-०९ ॥
Places which have been described as suitable for the erection of houses for the Brāhmaṇas and others are also suitable for the erection of temples.
english translation
bhUmayo brAhmaNAdInAM yAH proktA vAstukarmaNi । tA eva teSAM zasyante devatAAyataneSvapi ॥ 56-09 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचतुःषष्टिपदं कार्यं देवताआयतनं सदा । द्वारं च मध्यमं तस्मिन् समदिक्स्थं प्रशस्यते ॥ ५६-१० ॥
In the case of temples (prāsāda), the site shall always be divided into 64 squares and the entrance shall be in the middle of the wall and the walls shall be due east and west and due north and south.

catuHSaSTipadaM kAryaM devatAAyatanaM sadA । dvAraM ca madhyamaM tasmin samadiksthaM prazasyate ॥ 56-10 ॥
