नरपतिदेशविनाशे केतोरुदये अथ वा ग्रहे अर्केन्द्वोः । उत्पातानां प्रभवः स्वऋतुभवश्चाप्यदोषाय ॥ ४६-८१ ॥
The eighteen Mahāśānti ceremonies (great ceremonies of expiation) prescribed in the Atharva Veda must be performed. Bali (food) shall also be offered in honour of Indra and Indrāṇī (Indra’s queen) who shall also be worshipped in every month.
