अभ्यर्चितऽपणगृहं प्रभूतपुण्याहवेदनिर्घोषम् । नटनर्तकगेयज्ञैराकीर्णचतुष्पथं नगरम् ॥ ४३-२६ ॥

The city was filled with revered shops and houses, resounding with the echoes of sacred chants on many auspicious days; its crossroads were crowded with actors, dancers, and those skilled in song.

abhyarcita'paNagRhaM prabhUtapuNyAhavedanirghoSam । naTanartakageyajJairAkIrNacatuSpathaM nagaram ॥ 43-26 ॥
