सिंहे सुवर्णमणिचर्मवर्मशस्त्राणि मौक्तिकं रजतम् । पञ्चममासे लब्धिर्विक्रेतुरतो अन्यथा छेदः ॥ ४२-०६ ॥
If the phenomena should occur when the Sun is in the sign Siṃha (Leo) the tradesman shall store up gold, gems, leather, armours, weapons, pearls and silver, and if he should dispose of these in the fifth month, there would be much profit; but if he should do so either before or after the fifth month, he would sustain loss.
english translation
siMhe suvarNamaNicarmavarmazastrANi mauktikaM rajatam । paJcamamAse labdhirvikreturato anyathA chedaH ॥ 42-06 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकन्यागते दिनकरे चामरखरकरभवाजिनां क्रेता । षष्ठे मासे द्विगुणं लाभं अवाप्नोति विक्रीणन् ॥ ४२-०७ ॥
If the phenomena should occur when the Sun is in the sign Kanyā (Virgo) the tradesman shall purchase Cāmara (chowries), asses, camels and horses; if he should dispose of them in the sixth month, he would get double their value.
english translation
kanyAgate dinakare cAmarakharakarabhavAjinAM kretA । SaSThe mAse dviguNaM lAbhaM avApnoti vikrINan ॥ 42-07 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतौलिनि तान्तवभाण्डं मणिकम्बलकाचपीतकुसुमानि । आदद्याद्धान्यानि च वर्षार्धाद् द्विगुणिता वृद्धिः ॥ ४२-०८ ॥
If the phenomena should occur when the Sun is in the sign Tulā (Libra) the tradesman shall store up yarn goods, crystal wares, flowers of gold colour and grains; if he should dispose of them in the sixth month, he would get double their price.

taulini tAntavabhANDaM maNikambalakAcapItakusumAni । AdadyAddhAnyAni ca varSArdhAd dviguNitA vRddhiH ॥ 42-08 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवृश्चिकसंस्थे सवितरि फलकन्दकमूलविविधरत्नानि । वर्षद्वयं उषितानि द्विगुणं लाभं प्रयच्छन्ति ॥ ४२-०९ ॥
If the phenomena should occur when the Sun is in the sign Vṛścika (Scorpio) the tradesman shall store up fruits and roots of a lasting nature and various precious stones, and if he should dispose of them at the end of two years, they would fetch double their price.
english translation
vRzcikasaMsthe savitari phalakandakamUlavividharatnAni । varSadvayaM uSitAni dviguNaM lAbhaM prayacchanti ॥ 42-09 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचापगते गृह्णीयात् कुङ्कुम शङ्खप्रवालकाचानि । मुक्ताफलानि च ततो वर्षार्धाद्द्विगुणतां यान्ति ॥ ४२-१० ॥
If the phenomena should occur when the Sun is in Dhanus (Sagittarius) the tradesman shall store up conch shells, corals, articles of crystal and pearls; if he should dispose of them in the sixth month, they would fetch double their price.
