मन्दाकिनी पयोष्णी महानदी सिन्धुमालतीपाराः । उत्तरपाण्ड्यमहेन्द्राद्रिविन्ध्यमलयौपगाश्चोलाः ॥ १६-१० ॥

The Mandākinī, the Payoshṇī, the Mahānadī, and the regions beyond the Sindhu and Malatī rivers; to the north are the Pāṇḍyas, the Mahendra mountains, the Vindhya and Malaya ranges, and the uplands of the Cholas.
