उपचयभवनौपयातस्य भानोर्दिने कारयेद्धेमताम्राश्वकाष्ठास्थिचर्माउर्णिकाद्रिद्रुमत्वग्नखव्यालचौरऽयुधीयाटवीक्रूरराजोपसेवाभिषेकाउषधक्षौमपण्यादिगोपालकान्तारवैद्याश्मकूटावदाताभिविख्यातशूरऽहवश्लाघ्य याय्य् अग्निकर्माणि सिद्ध्यन्ति लग्नस्थिते वा रवौ । शिशिरकिरणवासरे तस्य व अप्युद्गमे केन्द्रसंस्थे अथ वा भूषणं शङ्खमुक्ताअब्जरूप्याम्बुयज्ञैक्षुभोज्याङ्गनाक्षीरसुस्निग्धवृक्षक्षुपानूपधान्यद्रवद्रव्य विप्राध्वगीत क्रियाशृङ्गिकृष्यादिसेनाधिपऽक्रन्दभूपालसौभाग्यनक्तञ्चरश्लैष्मिकद्रव्यमातुल्य पुष्पाम्बरऽरम्भसिद्धिर्भवेत् ॥ क्षितितनयदिने प्रसिद्ध्यन्ति धात्वाकरादीनि सर्वाणि कार्याणि चामीकराग्निप्रवालऽयुधक्रौर्यचौर्याभिघाताटवीदुर्गसेनाधिकारास्तथा रक्तपुष्पद्रुमा रक्तं अन्यच्च तिक्तं कटुद्रव्यकूटाहिपाशार्जितस्वाः कुमारा भिषक्शाक्यभिक्षुक्षपावृत्तिकोशेश शाठ्यानि सिद्ध्यन्ति दम्भास्तथा ॥ हरति मणिमहीसुगन्धीनि वस्त्राणि साधारणं नाटकं शास्त्रविज्ञानकाव्यानि सर्वाः कलायुक्तयो मन्त्रधातुक्रियावादनैपुण्यपुण्यव्रतायोगदूतास्तथाआयुष्यमायाअनृतस्नानह्रस्वाणि दीर्घाणि मध्यानि च छन्दतश् चण्डवृष्टिप्रयातानुकारीणि कार्याणि सिद्ध्यन्ति सौम्यस्य लग्ने अह्नि वा ॥ १०४-६१ ॥
On a Sunday and when the Sun occupies an Upacaya sign (the 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th houses) shall be done any work or business connected with gold, copper, a horse, dried sticks, bones, skin, woollen blankets, hills, the bark of trees, nails, serpents, thieves, weapons, forest, service under a tyrannical prince, sacred bath, medicine, white silk, articles for sale, shepherds, impenetrable paths, cures, stones, works of art, pure articles, well-known objects, valiant fight and works connected with fire. The same work shall be done when the Sun occupies the rising sign. On Mondays or when the Moon occupies the rising sign or when she occupies one of the Kendras shall be done any work or business connected with jewels, conch shells, pearls, productions of water, silver, sacrificial rites, sugar canes, articles of food, women, milk, milk-trees, the branches of trees, crops of wet low lands, liquids, Brāhmaṇas, horses, the work of cooling, homed animals, the cultivation of lands, the summoning of a commander of armies, the king, popular favour, the demons, phlegmatic substances, elephants, flowers and clothes. On Tuesdays shall be done any work or business connected with mineral mines, gold, fire, corals, weapons, theft torture, forests, impenetrable places, command over armies, trees of red flowers, all red substances, bitter substances, pungent substances, works of art, serpents, ropes, young men that live by dealing in these, physicians, Buddhist ascetics, working by night, white silk, cheating and foppery. On Wednesdays and when Mercury occupies the rising sign, shall be done any work or business connected with emeralds, lands, perfumes, clothes, plays, knowledge of science, skill in work, literary performances, arts, magical formulae, metallic work, law suit, acts of ability, articles for sale, practice of austerities and Yoga practice, messengers, promotion of long life, deceit, lies, bathing, objects either long or short, dependence on other men for help and important works.
