गृहविंशोपकं वीक्ष्यं सूर्यादीनां खचारिणाम्‌। स्वगृहोच्चे बलं पूर्णं शून्यं तत्सप्तमस्थिते॥ ११॥

The Grahas from Sūrya on get full strength, when in exaltation, or in own Rāśi and are bereft of strength, when in the 7th (from exaltation).

english translation

gRhaviMzopakaM vIkSyaM sUryAdInAM khacAriNAm‌। svagRhocce balaM pUrNaM zUnyaM tatsaptamasthite॥ 11॥

ग्रहस्थितिवशाज्ज्ञेयं द्विराश्यधिपतिस्तथा। मध्येऽनुपाततो ज्ञेयं ओजयुग्मर्क्षभेदतः॥ १२॥

In between the strength be known by the rule of three process. In the case of a Grah, owning two Rāśis, distinction of placement in odd/even Rāśi identical with own Rāśi be made.

english translation

grahasthitivazAjjJeyaM dvirAzyadhipatistathA। madhye'nupAtato jJeyaM ojayugmarkSabhedataH॥ 12॥

सूर्यहोराफलं दद्युर्जीवार्कवसुधात्मजाः। चन्द्रास्फुजिदर्कपुत्राश्चन्द्रहोराफलप्रदाः॥ १३॥

Horā, Dreshkan and Trimshāńś Effects. Guru, Sūrya and Mangal give (pronounced) effects in the Hora of Sūrya. Candr, Śukr and Śani do so, when in Candr‟s Horas; Budh is effective in both the Horas.

sUryahorAphalaM dadyurjIvArkavasudhAtmajAH। candrAsphujidarkaputrAzcandrahorAphalapradAH॥ 13॥

फलद्वयं बुधो दद्यात्‌ समे चान्द्रं तदन्यके। रवेः फलं स्वहोरादौ फलहीनं विरामके॥ १४॥

In the case of an even Rāśi the Hora of Candr will be powerful in effects, while Sūrya‟s Hora in an odd Rāśi will be so.

phaladvayaM budho dadyAt‌ same cAndraM tadanyake। raveH phalaM svahorAdau phalahInaM virAmake॥ 14॥

मध्येऽनुपातात्‌ सर्वत्र द्रेष्काणेऽपि विचिन्तयेत्‌। गृहवत्‌ तुर्यभागेपि नवांशादावपि स्वयम्‌॥ १५॥

Full, medium and nil will be the effects, respectively, in the beginning middle and the end of a Hora. Similar applications be made for a Dreshkan, Turyāńś, Navāńś etc

madhye'nupAtAt‌ sarvatra dreSkANe'pi vicintayet‌। gRhavat‌ turyabhAgepi navAMzAdAvapi svayam‌॥ 15॥
