दशारम्भे दशादीशे लग्नगे शुभदृग्युते । स्वोच्चे स्वभे स्वमैत्रे वा शुभं तस्य दशाफलम् ॥ ५॥

The effects are favourable, if at the commencement of the Dasha the Dasha Lord is in Lagn, in his exaltation, own, or a Shant Rāśi.
