साधारणं विशिष्टञ्च दशानां द्विविधं फलम् । ग्रहाणां च स्वभावेन स्थानस्थितिवशेन च ॥ २॥

Maharishi Parashar replied. O Brahmin! There are two kinds of effects of Dashas: general and distinctive. The natural characteristics of the Grahas cause the general effects and the distinctive effects are realized by their placements etc.
