दारिद्यं कर्मवैफल्यं तथा व्यर्थव्ययं वदेत् । पापराशौ फलं त्वेवं शुभराशौ च तद्दलम् ॥ १५४॥

One should predict poverty, failure of undertakings, and fruitless expenditure. Such results occur when the Daśā sign is inauspicious (malefic); if the Daśā sign is auspicious, only half of these adverse effects are experienced.
