इत्यरिष्टं मया प्रोक्तं तद्‌भङ्गश्चापि कथ्यते। यत्‌ समालोक्यं जातानां रिष्ताऽरिष्टं वदेद्‌बुधः॥ १॥

Those are the evils (due to a native). I now narrate the antidotes for such evils as well, which will be helpful to assess the extent of inauspiciousness.

english translation

ityariSTaM mayA proktaM tad‌bhaGgazcApi kathyate। yat‌ samAlokyaM jAtAnAM riStA'riSTaM vaded‌budhaH॥ 1॥

एकोऽपि ज्ञार्यशुक्राणां लग्नात्‌ केन्द्रगतो यदि। अरिष्टं निखिलं हन्ति तिमिरं भास्करो यथा॥ २॥

Should one among Budh, Guru and Śukr be in an angle from Lagn, all evils are destroyed, as Sūrya eliminates darkness.

english translation

eko'pi jJAryazukrANAM lagnAt‌ kendragato yadi। ariSTaM nikhilaM hanti timiraM bhAskaro yathA॥ 2॥

एक एव बली जीवो लग्नस्थो रिष्टसंचयम्‌। हन्ति पापक्षयं भक्त्या प्रणाम इव शूलिनः॥ ३॥

Just as a single reverential obeisance before Lord Shiva, the Trident holder frees one from all sins, a single, but strong Guru in Lagn will ward off all the evils.

english translation

eka eva balI jIvo lagnastho riSTasaMcayam‌। hanti pApakSayaM bhaktyA praNAma iva zUlinaH॥ 3॥

एक एव विलग्नेशः केन्द्रसंस्थो बलान्वितः। अरिष्टं निखिलं हन्ति पिनाकी त्रिपुरं यथा॥ ४॥

Lagn Lord is singly capable of counteracting all evils, if he is strongly placed in an angle, just as Lord Shiva, the holder of the Bow destroyed the three cities, built of gold, silver and iron for the demons by Maya.

english translation

eka eva vilagnezaH kendrasaMstho balAnvitaH। ariSTaM nikhilaM hanti pinAkI tripuraM yathA॥ 4॥

शुक्लपक्षे क्षपाजन्म लग्ने सौम्यनिरीक्षिते। विपरीतं कृष्णपक्षे तथारिष्टविनाशनं॥ ५॥

All evils are destroyed, if a benefic drishties Lagn of one born during the night in the bright half. Similarly a malefic‟s Drishti on Lagn of one born during day time in the dark half.

zuklapakSe kSapAjanma lagne saumyanirIkSite। viparItaM kRSNapakSe tathAriSTavinAzanaM॥ 5॥
