एतद्योनीनि भूतानि सर्वाणीत्युपधारय । अहं कृत्स्नस्य जगतः प्रभवः प्रलयस्तथा ॥ ७-६॥
Know that these two (Natures) are the womb of all beings. So I am the source and dissolution of the whole universe.
english translation
अपरा और परा -- इन दोनों प्रकृतियोंके संयोगसे ही सम्पूर्ण प्राणी उत्पन्न होते हैं, ऐसा तुम समझो। मैं सम्पूर्ण जगत् का प्रभव (उत्पत्ति) तथा प्रलय हूँ।

etadyonIni bhUtAni sarvANItyupadhAraya । ahaM kRtsnasya jagataH prabhavaH pralayastathA ॥ 7-6॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमत्तः परतरं नान्यत्किञ्चिदस्ति धनञ्जय । मयि सर्वमिदं प्रोतं सूत्रे मणिगणा इव ॥ ७-७॥
O Dhananjaya, there is nothing else whatsoever higher than Myself. All this is strung on Me like clusters of gems on a string.
english translation
हे धनञ्जय ! मेरे बढ़कर (इस जगत् का) दूसरा कोई किञ्चिन्मात्र भी कारण नहीं है। जैसे सूतकी मणियाँ सूतके धागेमें पिरोयी हुई होती हैं, ऐसे ही यह सम्पूर्ण जगत् मेरेमें ही ओत-प्रोत है।

mattaH parataraM nAnyatkiJcidasti dhanaJjaya । mayi sarvamidaM protaM sUtre maNigaNA iva ॥ 7-7॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptरसोऽहमप्सु कौन्तेय प्रभास्मि शशिसूर्ययोः । प्रणवः सर्ववेदेषु शब्दः खे पौरुषं नृषु ॥ ७-८॥
O son of Kunti, I am the sapidity in water, I am the light in the moon and the sun; I am the syllable Omkar (pranav) in all the Vedas, sound in ether and virility in men.

I am the sweet (pure) fragrance in the earth; I am the brilliance in the fire, and the life in all beings; and I am the austerity of the ascetics.

पृथ्वीमें पवित्र गन्ध मैं हूँ, और अग्निमें तेज मैं हूँ, तथा सम्पूर्ण प्राणियोंमें जीवनीशक्ति मैं हूँ और तपस्वियोंमें तप मैं हूँ।

puNyo gandhaH pRthivyAM ca tejazcAsmi vibhAvasau । jIvanaM sarvabhUteSu tapazcAsmi tapasviSu ॥ 7-9॥

O Partha, know Me to be the eternal Seed of all beings. I am the intellect of the intelligent, and the brilliance of the brilliant.

हे पार्थ ! सम्पूर्ण भूतों का सनातन बीज (कारण) मुझे ही जानो; मैं बुद्धिमानों की बुद्धि और तेजस्वियों का तेज हूँ।

bIjaM mAM sarvabhUtAnAM viddhi pArtha sanAtanam । buddhirbuddhimatAmasmi tejastejasvinAmaham ॥ 7-10॥
