एतद्योनीनि भूतानि सर्वाणीत्युपधारय । अहं कृत्स्नस्य जगतः प्रभवः प्रलयस्तथा ॥ ७-६॥
Know that these two (Natures) are the womb of all beings. So I am the source and dissolution of the whole universe.

अपरा और परा -- इन दोनों प्रकृतियोंके संयोगसे ही सम्पूर्ण प्राणी उत्पन्न होते हैं, ऐसा तुम समझो। मैं सम्पूर्ण जगत् का प्रभव (उत्पत्ति) तथा प्रलय हूँ।

मत्तः परतरं नान्यत्किञ्चिदस्ति धनञ्जय । मयि सर्वमिदं प्रोतं सूत्रे मणिगणा इव ॥ ७-७॥
O Dhananjaya, there is nothing else whatsoever higher than Myself. All this is strung on Me like clusters of gems on a string.

हे धनञ्जय ! मेरे बढ़कर (इस जगत् का) दूसरा कोई किञ्चिन्मात्र भी कारण नहीं है। जैसे सूतकी मणियाँ सूतके धागेमें पिरोयी हुई होती हैं, ऐसे ही यह सम्पूर्ण जगत् मेरेमें ही ओत-प्रोत है।

रसोऽहमप्सु कौन्तेय प्रभास्मि शशिसूर्ययोः । प्रणवः सर्ववेदेषु शब्दः खे पौरुषं नृषु ॥ ७-८॥
O son of Kunti, I am the sapidity in water, I am the light in the moon and the sun; I am the syllable Omkar (pranav) in all the Vedas, sound in ether and virility in men.

पुण्यो गन्धः पृथिव्यां च तेजश्चास्मि विभावसौ । जीवनं सर्वभूतेषु तपश्चास्मि तपस्विषु ॥ ७-९॥
I am the sweet (pure) fragrance in the earth; I am the brilliance in the fire, and the life in all beings; and I am the austerity of the ascetics.

पृथ्वीमें पवित्र गन्ध मैं हूँ, और अग्निमें तेज मैं हूँ, तथा सम्पूर्ण प्राणियोंमें जीवनीशक्ति मैं हूँ और तपस्वियोंमें तप मैं हूँ।
