पोथकीर्लिखिताः शुण्ठीसैन्धवप्रतिसारिताः । उष्णाम्बुक्षालिताः सिञ्चेत्खदिराढकिशिग्रुभिः ॥२१॥

In the treatment of Pothaki (trachoma/conjunctival follicles), the eyelid lesions should first be scraped (likhita), then anointed/rubbed with a mixture of dry ginger (shunthi) and rock salt (saindhava), and washed thoroughly with warm water. Following this, the area should be irrigated with a decoction prepared from khadira (Acacia catechu), adhaki (Cajanus cajan), and shigru (Moringa oleifera).
