महापुरुषदन्ता च कायस्था नाकुलीद्वयम् । कटम्भरा वृश्चिकाली शालिपर्णी च तैर्घृतम् ॥ ३६ ॥
along with mahāpuruṣadantā – Asparagus racemosus, kāyasthā – Roscoea purpurea, the two nākulī (Ophiorrhiza mungos and Rauwolfia serpentina), kaṭambharā – Celastrus paniculatus, vṛścikālī – Heliotropium indicum, and śāliparṇī – Desmodium gangeticum.

सिद्धं चातुर्थिकोन्मादग्रहापस्मारनाशनम् । महापैशाचकं नाम घृतमेतद्यथाऽमृतम् ॥ ३७ ॥
Ghee cooked with these ingredients cures quartan fevers (chaturthika jvara), insanity (unmada), seizure by evil spirits (graha), and epilepsy (apasmara). This formulation, known as Mahapaisachaka Ghrita, is like nectar.

jaṭā – Nardostachys jatamansi / Selinum tenuifolium, murā – Selinum candollei, rāsnā – Pluchea lanceolata, viṣaghnā – Curcuma longa / Haridra, laśuna – Allium sativum, viśalyā – Gloriosa superba, surasā – Ocimum sanctum, vacā – Acorus calamus, jyotiṣmatī – Celastrus paniculatus, nāgavinnā (nāgavinnā / nāgadantī) – Croton oblongifolius, anantā – Hemidesmus indicus, and harītakī – Terminalia chebula.

काङ्क्षीं च हस्तिमूत्रेण पिष्ट्वा छायाविशोषीता । वर्तिर्नस्याञ्जनालेपधूपैरुन्मादसूदनी ॥ ४० ॥
Along with kāṅkṣī (alum), these herbs are macerated in elephant’s urine, rolled into medicinal wicks/pills (varti), and dried in the shade. When used as nasal drops (nasya), eye salve (anjana), topical paste (alepa), and fumigation (dhupa), it destroys insanity.
