क्षुत्तृष्णाघर्मदौर्बल्यक्रोधशोकभयश्रमैः । अजीर्णवर्चोद्रवतापित्तमारुतवृद्धिभिः ॥ ६१ ॥
The effects of poison increase due to hunger, thirst, exposure to sun/heat, debility, anger, grief, fear, physical exertion, indigestion, watery stools, and aggravation of Pitta and Vata;

as well as by smelling the flowers and fruits of sesame (tila – Sesamum indicum), exposure to earth vapors, thunder of rain clouds, hearing the trumpeting of elephants, squeaking of mice, sound of musical instruments, during critical periods of poisoning (visha sankata),

hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुरोवातोत्पलामोदमदनैर्वर्धते विषम् । वर्षासु चाम्बुयोनित्वात्सङ्क्लेदं गुडवद्गतम् ॥ ६३ ॥
direct/easterly wind, fragrance of blue water lily (utpala – Nymphaea stellata), and sexual arousal or desire. During the rainy season (Varsha), because of its aquatic origin, poison becomes excessively moist and liquefied like jaggery and spreads everywhere;

purovAtotpalAmodamadanairvardhate viSam । varSAsu cAmbuyonitvAtsaGkledaM guDavadgatam ॥ 63 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविसर्पति घनापाये तदगस्त्यो हिनस्ति च । प्रयाति मन्दवीर्यत्वं विषं तस्माद्घनात्यये ॥ ६४ ॥
but at the end of the rainy season, the star Agastya (Canopus) destroys its intensity. Therefore, with the departure of the rain clouds (in autumn / Sharat), the poison attains mild potency.

visarpati ghanApAye tadagastyo hinasti ca । prayAti mandavIryatvaM viSaM tasmAdghanAtyaye ॥ 64 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइति प्रकृतिसात्म्यर्तुस्थानवेगबलाबलम् । आलोच्य निपुणं बुद्ध्या कर्मानन्तरमाचरेत् ॥ ६५ ॥
The wise physician should determine the appropriate treatment only after considering the nature, customization, season, location, stage, strength and weakness (of the poison and the patient).
