मथ्यमाने जलनिधावमृतार्थं सुरासुरैः । जातः प्रागमृतोत्पत्तेः पुरुषो घोरदर्शनः ॥ १ ॥

When the suras (Gods) and asuras (non-Gods) churned the ocean of milk for the sake of obtaining nectar, a person dreadful in appearance was born before the birth of the nectar.
