अभ्यज्य मधुसर्पिर्भ्यां पिचुप्लोतावगुण्ठितम्। सूत्रेणागाढशिथिलं बद्ध्वा चूर्णैरवाकिरेत्॥५३॥

neither depressed nor elevated but at an even level, site is then anointed with honey and ghee and covered with a swab (of cotton), then tied with a thread neither too tight nor too loose;

abhyajya madhusarpirbhyAM picuplotAvaguNThitam। sUtreNAgADhazithilaM baddhvA cUrNairavAkiret॥53॥
