निहन्ति शूलदाहोषाः केवलं क्षौद्रमेववा । यष्ट्यादिभिश्च सघृतैः कर्णौ दिह्यात्समन्ततः ॥१०॥

sanskrit

it cures pain, burning sensation and local heat. Even honey alone used in the same manner acts likewise. The area around the ears should be given a coating (with the paste of) yaṣṭī – Glycyrrhiza glabra etc. (enumerated above) mixed with ghee.

english translation

nihanti zUladAhoSAH kevalaM kSaudramevavA । yaSTyAdibhizca saghRtaiH karNau dihyAtsamantataH ॥10॥
