न विध्येदसिरार्हाणां न तृट्पीनसकासिनाम् । नाजीर्णिभीरुवमितशिरःकर्णाक्षिशूलिनाम् ॥ ८ ॥
Puncturing (couching of the less) should not be done in persons who are unsuitable for venesection, who are suffering from thirst, chronic nasal catarrh, cough, not in indigestion, fear, vomiting and diseases (pain) of the head, ears and eyes.
