Astanga Hrudaya
चर्मोद्दालवदुच्छ्रायि दृष्टिप्राप्तं च वर्जयेत् । पित्तं कृष्णेऽथवा दृष्टौ शुक्रं तोदाश्रुरागवत् ॥ २२ ॥
which are surrounded by Muscles, tendons and veins, that which is elevated as if rearing the skin, and has reached the Dristi (vision-pupil and hindering it) should be rejected. Pitta invading the Krsna (cornea) or the Drsti (pupil) causes shukra having pricking pain,
