ततः प्रकृतिभेदोक्तरूपैरायुःपरीक्षणम् । प्रागुदक्शिरसः कुर्याद्बालस्य ज्ञानवान् भिषक् ॥ २४ ॥

Then the wise physician should perform the examination of the body (of baby) commencing with the head for deciding its lifespan based on such features (of long life) described earlier in the prakrti Bhediya (chapter 5 of Sarirasthana).
