Astanga Hrudaya
क्षारसाध्ये गदे छिन्ने लिखिते स्रावितेऽथवा। क्षारं शलाकया दत्त्वा प्लोतप्रावृतदेहया॥२७॥
The disease treatable by alkali should either be cut, scraped or made to exudate fluids first, then the alkali is taken in an iron rod and placed on the spot.
