मांसले निक्षिपेद्देशे व्रीह्यास्यं व्रीहिमात्रकम्। यवार्धमस्थ्नामुपरि सिरां विध्यन् कुठारिकाम्॥३३॥

On fleshly parts, the Vrihimukha Sastra (Lancet) should be used and the vein cut to the size of a rice grain only; the veins on the bones should be cut the size of half a (Yava) barley by using the axe.

english translation

mAMsale nikSipeddeze vrIhyAsyaM vrIhimAtrakam। yavArdhamasthnAmupari sirAM vidhyan kuThArikAm॥33॥
