लेखनं रोपणं दृष्टिप्रसादनमिति त्रिधा। अञ्ह्जनम् लेखनं तत्र कषायाम्लपटूषणैः॥१०॥

Anjana is of three kinds – Lekhana – scarifying, scraping Ropana – healing and Drishti prasadana – making the vision clear, soothing to the eyes; Lekhana Anjana is prepared from herbs of astringent, sour, salt, and pungent tastes and hot potency;

lekhanaM ropaNaM dRSTiprasAdanamiti tridhA। aJhjanam lekhanaM tatra kaSAyAmlapaTUSaNaiH॥10॥
