न चोनाष्टादशे धूमः, कवलो नोनपञ्चमे। न शुद्धिरूनदशमे न चातिक्रान्तसप्ततौ॥३१॥
Dhuma- inhalation of smoke of drugs should not be administered for children below 18 years; Kavala- mouth gargling should not be administered for children below five years; Shodhana – purification (Panchakarma) therapies like Vamana, Virechana etc. should not be administered below 10 years and above 70 years of age.
