Astanga Hrudaya
तोयाग्निपूज्यमध्येन यानं धूमं शवाश्रयम् । मद्यातिसक्तिं विश्रम्भस्वातन्त्र्ये स्त्रीषु च त्यजेत् ॥४४॥
One should not go here and there through water, fire and people to be worshipped. One should stay away from the smoke of the funeral pyre in the cremation ground. One should not become a habitual drinker (consume intoxicants). One should not trust women and should not give them freedom.
english translation
जल, अग्नि तथा पूज्यर्जनों के बीच में से होकर इधर-उधर नहीं जाना चाहिए , श्मशान में चिता के धुंआ से दूर रहे, मद्य (मादक पदार्थों के सेवन ) का अभ्यासी न बने। स्त्रियों का विश्वास न करे और इन्हें स्वतन्त्रता प्रदान न करे ।
