शकृन्निर्हृत्य वा किञ्चित्तीक्ष्णाभिः फलवर्तिभिः। प्रवृत्तं हि मलं स्निग्धो विरेको निर्हरेत्सुखम्॥५५॥

or the faeces should be removed first by using a strong rectal suppository made from fruits; the Doshas thus initiated in their movement, the purgative drug expels them easily.

english translation

zakRnnirhRtya vA kiJcittIkSNAbhiH phalavartibhiH। pravRttaM hi malaM snigdho vireko nirharetsukham॥55॥
