Astanga Hrudaya
दीप्ताग्नीनां च भैषज्यमविरेच्यैव जीर्यति। तेभ्यो बस्तिं पुरा दद्यात्ततः स्निग्धं विरेचनम्॥५४॥
who do exercise regularly and who have strong digestion strength, the purgative drug gets digested without producing purgation; for them, an enema should be given first and then purgative drug which is Snigdha – (unctuous, oily) should be given ;
english translation
dIptAgnInAM ca bhaiSajyamavirecyaiva jIryati। tebhyo bastiM purA dadyAttataH snigdhaM virecanam॥54॥
