बाह्या संवरणी तस्या गुदौष्ठो बहिरङ्गुले । यवाध्यर्धः प्रमाणेन रोमाण्यत्र ततः परम् ॥ ५ ॥

in its outer portion (of Samvarani) of one Angula (in depth) is the Gudostha (anal lip), of the length of one and a half Yava – Barley – Hordeum vulgare (barley); and after that, there are the hair.

bAhyA saMvaraNI tasyA gudauSTho bahiraGgule । yavAdhyardhaH pramANena romANyatra tataH param ॥ 5 ॥
