मध्यमोत्तमयोः सन्धिं प्राप्य राजसतामसः । निरङ्कुश इव व्यालो न किञ्चिन्नाचरेज्जडः ॥ ५ ॥
Remaining between the middle and higher stages and attaining a predominance of Rajas and Tamas (the qualities of passion and ignorance), the foolish person does not refrain from any wrong activity—acting just like a wild, deaf, and unrestrained elephant.
