तीक्ष्णादयो विषेऽप्युक्ताश्चित्तोपप्लाविनो गुणाः । जीवितान्ताय जायन्ते विषे तूत्कर्षवृत्तितः ॥ २ ॥

Tikshna (penetrating) and other properties which produce disorders of the mind are also found in poison. They cause the end of life especially in the case of poison because of their highly potent (exaggerated) activity.

english translation

tIkSNAdayo viSe'pyuktAzcittopaplAvino guNAH । jIvitAntAya jAyante viSe tUtkarSavRttitaH ॥ 2 ॥
