चतुर्थको मले मेदोमज्जास्थ्यन्यतमस्थिते । मज्जस्थ एवेत्यपरे प्रभावं स तु दर्शयेत् ॥ ७२ ॥

Chaturtaka & chaturtaka viparyaya jwaras: Doshas residing in the medas (fat), majja (marrow) and asthi (bone) produce chaturthaka jvara, some opine that they (doshas) reside only in the majja (marrow); it appears with an interval of two days (every fourth day) and manifests in two ways;

english translation

caturthako male medomajjAsthyanyatamasthite । majjastha evetyapare prabhAvaM sa tu darzayet ॥ 72 ॥
