प्राकृतो वैकृतः साध्योऽसाध्यः सामो निरामकः । पूर्वं शरीरे शारीरे तापो मनसि मानसे ॥ ४७ ॥

Prakrita (normal to the season) and Vaikrita (abnormal to the season); Sadhya (curable) and Asadhya (incurable); Sama (caused by Ama) and Nirama (not caused by Ama). In the Sharirika (type of fever) the exhaustion (due to increase of heat) is first in the body, in the Manasika (fever) it is first in the mind.
