पशु व्याधि मरके स्थान अर्थ नीराजनं स्व दैवत पूजनं च कारयेत् ॥
With regard to cattle diseases (pasuvyádhimarake), not only the ceremony of waving lights in cowsheds (nirájanam) shall be half done, but also the worship of family-gods be carried out.

pazu vyAdhi marake sthAna artha nIrAjanaM sva daivata pUjanaM ca kArayet ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदुर्भिक्षे राजा बीज भक्त उपग्रहं कृत्वा अनुग्रहं कुर्यात्, दुर्ग सेतु कर्म वा भक्त अनुग्रहेण, भक्त संविभागं वा, देश निक्षेपं वा ॥
During famine, the king shall show favour to his people by providing them with seeds and provision (bíjabhaktopagráham). He may either do such works as are usually resorted to in calamities; he may show favour by distributing either his own collection of provisions or the hoarded income of the rich among the people; or seek for help from his friends among kings.
english translation
durbhikSe rAjA bIja bhakta upagrahaM kRtvA anugrahaM kuryAt, durga setu karma vA bhakta anugraheNa, bhakta saMvibhAgaM vA, deza nikSepaM vA ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमित्राणि वा व्यपाश्रयेत, कर्शनं वमनं वा कुर्यात् ॥
Or the policy of thinning the rich by exacting excessive revenue (karsanam), or causing them to vomit their accumulated wealth (vamanam) may be resorted to.

mitrANi vA vyapAzrayeta, karzanaM vamanaM vA kuryAt ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनिष्पन्न सस्यम् अन्य विषयं वा सजन पदो यायात्, समुद्र सरस् तटाकानि वा संश्रयेत ॥
lth (vamanam) may be resorted to. Or the king with his subjects may emigrate to another kingdom with abundant harvest. Or he may remove himself with his subjects to seashores or to the banks of rivers or lakes.

niSpanna sasyam anya viSayaM vA sajana pado yAyAt, samudra saras taTAkAni vA saMzrayeta ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptधान्य शाक मूल फल आवापान् वा सेतुषु कुर्वीत, मृग पशु पक्षि व्याल मत्स्य आरम्भान् वा ॥
He may cause his subjects to grow grains, vegetables, roots, and fruits wherever water is available. He may, by hunting and fishing on a large scale, provide the people with wild beasts, birds, elephants, tigers or fish.
