केश नीवि दन्त नख आलम्बनेषु पूर्वः साहस दण्डः, पुंसो द्वि गुणः ॥
A woman, holding out her hair, the tie of her dress round her loins, her teeth or her nails, shall pay the first amercement, and a man, doing the same, twice the first amercement.
english translation
keza nIvi danta nakha AlambaneSu pUrvaH sAhasa daNDaH, puMso dvi guNaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशङ्कित स्थाने सम्भाषायां च पण स्थाने शिफा दण्डः ॥
For holding conversation in suspicious places, whips may be substituted for fines.
english translation
zaGkita sthAne sambhASAyAM ca paNa sthAne ziphA daNDaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्त्रीणां ग्राम मध्ये चण्डालः पक्ष अन्तरे पञ्च शिफा दद्यात् ॥
In the centre of the village, an outcaste person (chandála) may whip such women five times on each of the sides of their body.
english translation
strINAM grAma madhye caNDAlaH pakSa antare paJca ziphA dadyAt ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपणिकं वा प्रहारं मोक्षयेत् ॥ इत्य् अतीचारः ॥
She may get rid of being whipped by paying a pana for each whip (panikam vá praharam mokshayet). Thus transgression is dealt with.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रतिषिद्धयोः स्त्री पुंसयोर् अन्योन्य उपकारे क्षुद्रक द्रव्याणां द्वादश पणो दण्डः, स्थूलक द्रव्याणां चतुर् विंशति पणः, हिरण्य सुवर्णयोश् चतुष् पञ्चाशत् पणः स्त्रिया दण्डः, पुंसोर् द्वि गुणः ॥
(Forbidden transactions.) With regard to a man and a woman who, though forbidden to carry on any mutual transaction, help each other, the woman shall be fined 12, 24 and 54 panas respectively according as the help consists of (i) small things, of (ii) heavy things and (iii) of gold or gold-coin (hiranyasuvarnayoh).

pratiSiddhayoH strI puMsayor anyonya upakAre kSudraka dravyANAM dvAdaza paNo daNDaH, sthUlaka dravyANAM catur viMzati paNaH, hiraNya suvarNayoz catuS paJcAzat paNaH striyA daNDaH, puMsor dvi guNaH ॥
