परस्परं द्वेषान् मोक्षः ॥
But from mutual enmity, divorce may be obtained (parasparam dveshánmokshah).
english translation
parasparaM dveSAn mokSaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्त्री विप्रकाराद् वा पुरुषश् चेन् मोक्षम् इच्छेद् यथा गृहीतम् अस्यै दद्यात् ॥
If a man, apprehending danger from his wife desires divorce (mokshamichhet), he shall return to her whatever she was given (on the occasion of her marriage).
english translation
strI viprakArAd vA puruSaz cen mokSam icched yathA gRhItam asyai dadyAt ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुरुष विप्रकाराद् वा स्त्री चेन् मोक्षम् इच्छेन् न अस्यै यथा गृहीतं दद्यात् ॥
If a woman, under the apprehension of danger from her husband, desires divorce, she shall forfeit her claim to her property;
english translation
puruSa viprakArAd vA strI cen mokSam icchen na asyai yathA gRhItaM dadyAt ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअमोक्षो धर्म विवाहानाम् ॥ इति द्वेषः ।
marriages contracted in accordance with the customs of the first four kinds of marriages cannot be dissolved.

amokSo dharma vivAhAnAm ॥ iti dveSaH ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रतिषिद्धा स्त्री दर्प मद्य क्रीडायां त्रि पणं दण्डं दद्यात् ॥
(Transgression.) If a woman engages herself in amorous sports, or drinking in the face of an order to the contrary, she shall be fined 3 panas.
