कामांस्ते पान्तु गन्धर्वाः सत्त्वमिन्द्रोऽभिरक्षतु | प्रज्ञां ते वरुणो राजा समुद्रो नाभिमण्डलम् ||२६||

May the Gandharvas (gandharvāḥ) protect your desires (kāmān), may Indra (indraḥ) safeguard your spirit (sattvam), may Varuṇa (varuṇaḥ), the king (rājā), protect your wisdom (prajñām), and may the Ocean (samudraḥ) protect your navel (nābhimandalam). This verse continues the protection prayers, invoking specific deities to safeguard various aspects of the person, including desires, spirit, wisdom, and the navel.

चक्षुः सूर्यो दिशः श्रोत्रे चन्द्रमाः पातु ते मनः | नक्षत्राणि सदा रूपं छायां पान्तु निशास्तव ||२७||

May the Sun (sūryaḥ) protect your eyes (cakṣuḥ), may the Moon (candraḥ) protect your hearing (śrotre), may the directions (diśaḥ) protect your mind (manaḥ), and may the stars (nakṣatrāṇi) always protect your form (rūpaṃ) and shadow (chāyāṃ). This verse seeks protection from celestial bodies and directions for various aspects of the individual, including sight, hearing, mind, form, and shadow.

cakSuH sUryo dizaH zrotre candramAH pAtu te manaH | nakSatrANi sadA rUpaM chAyAM pAntu nizAstava ||27||

रेतस्त्वाप्याययन्त्वापो रोमाण्योषधयस्तथा | आकाशं खानि ते पान्तु देहं तव वसुन्धरा ||२८||

May the waters (āpaḥ) purify your vital essence (retas), may the herbs (oṣadhayaḥ) protect your body (romāṇi), may the sky (ākāśaṃ) safeguard your openings (khāni), and may the earth (vasundharā) protect your entire body (deham). This verse invokes the protective powers of natural elements to ensure the safety and well-being of the body and its essential functions.

retastvApyAyayantvApo romANyoSadhayastathA | AkAzaM khAni te pAntu dehaM tava vasundharA ||28||

वैश्वानरः शिरः पातु विष्णुस्तव पराक्रमम् | पौरुषं पुरुषश्रेष्ठो ब्रह्माऽऽत्मानं ध्रुवो भ्रुवौ ||२९||

May the fire god (vaiśvānaraḥ) protect your head (śiraḥ), may Vishnu safeguard your valor (parākramam), may the best of men (puruṣaśreṣṭhaḥ) protect your strength (pauruṣaṃ), and may Brahma protect your soul (ātman) and your eyebrows (bhrūvau).

एता देहे विशेषेण तव नित्या हि देवताः | एतास्त्वां सततं पान्तु दीर्घमायुरवाप्नुहि ||३०||

These deities, who are eternally present in your body (dehe), may they continuously protect you. May you attain a long life (dīrghamāyur).
