May the waters (āpaḥ) purify your vital essence (retas), may the herbs (oṣadhayaḥ) protect your body (romāṇi), may the sky (ākāśaṃ) safeguard your openings (khāni), and may the earth (vasundharā) protect your entire body (deham).
